Assalamu 'alaikum,
On behalf of MAS Bay Area, I'd like to thank all of you for coming to participate in the Back to School project backpack assembly party. We were able to assemble about 400 backpacks in an hour thanks to your enthusiasm and efficiency - and the blessings of Allah (swt).
We delivered the backpacks on Tuesday to LACY (they received 350 for kids in the child welfare system) and Next Door Solutions (they got 40 for kids who are victims of domestic violence). We also helped some local Muslim families who specifically asked us for help.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Back to School project team, so that we can expand the project and make it more successful, please let us know. We just got a $10,000 grant for this project, so we have big plans for next year inshaAllah!
