Israel Continues Gaza Killing Spree
By Ola Attallah, IOL Correspondent

GAZA CITY — Emboldened by a mild international and Arab reaction, Israeli occupation forces killed ten Palestinians on Sunday, March 2, in its continued air and ground blitz against the Gaza Strip.

Three people were killed in an Israeli strike on Jabaliya, which has borne the brunt of the Israeli blitz, according to IslamOnline.net's correspondent.

One Palestinian also died inside his Jabaliya home from Israeli gunfire.

An Israeli aircraft fired at a civilian vehicle in a residential neighborhood of Jabaliya, killing Khalil Ezz el-Dine.

Another targeted a mosque in Rafah claiming the lives of 21-month-old baby girl Safaa Abou Youssef, Wessam Abd Rabbu, Emmad el-Talaa and Sobhi Abdullah.

Khaled Monzer Rayyan, a Hamas fighter, succumbed to wounds he suffered in Saturday's fighting.

At least 67 Palestinians, including scores of women and children, were killed on Saturday, March 1.

Sunday's fatalities take to at least 115 the number of Palestinians, third of them children, killed in four days of Israeli raids and air strikes in the Gaza Strip.

National Nutrition Month
MAS Service Corp Advisory

Mother always told us to eat our veggies, drink our milk, don’t snack between meals, and don’t eat too many fats and sweets. In this day of fast food, instant gratification and microwave meals, good eating habits seem to have fallen along the wayside. During March, however, we should all try to get back to basic nutrition through National Nutrition Month.

National Nutrition Week became a month-long observance in 1980 in response to growing public interest in nutrition.

Put Down that French Frie!

Good nutrition is not difficult:
• Eat regular meals and snacks
• Include at least five servings of fruit or vegetables each day
• Drink two servings of low-fat milk a day
• Eat high fiber foods
• Limit your intake of fats and sweets.

Just follow these key principles and you will find that eating good is akin to eating well. Try it for just one month, and see if you don’t feel better, enjoy food more, and maybe even lose a little weight! more...

From Pork to Islam
By Hamed Al-Moatasem

It was around 10:00 a.m. Beijing time, nearly three hours till the Friday prayer, when the young man approached to the mosque.

Jang stood for sometime outside at the mosque's doorstep hesitant to step in, especially with a "Muslims Only" sign in Chinese, English and Arabic attached to the gate .

He finally defeated a whiff of indecision and walked into the Muslim place of worship.

"Can we help you?" asked the mosque's leading imam.

"I want to become a Muslim," answered Jang.

The smiling imam welcomed him and accompanied him to the Islamic Society office, attached to the mosque.

They offered Jang three booklets on Islam to know more about the faith he wants to embrace.

To their surprise, the young man said he not only read the booklets but also many other books on the Muslim faith.

Jang engaged the imams in a discussion that proved to them he knew what he was about to do.

One imam walked him into Islam with the pronouncement of the Shahadah; testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His Messenger.more...
