Whispers of the Caravan Series:
A People's Journey through Islamic History
Sisters, join Dr. Ayat Hatem for a powerful weekly series exploring our rich history. Discover our lasting impact, witness Allah’s miracles through time, and reflect on our vital role as mothers and nurturers.
In this lecture series, we will explore our rich Islamic history—learning about the profound impact Muslims have had in the past and how we can shape the future. The series will begin with the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs and continue through to the modern world and the fall of the Ottoman Empire. Together, we’ll learn about the lives of ordinary people, their ups and downs, and how they persevered through challenges to leave a lasting mark on history.
Dr. Ayat Hatem is a homeschooling mom and associate professor of computer science. For the past eight years, she has focused on creating meaningful learning experiences for her children, especially in history and Islamic studies. For the past three years, she has also been teaching Islamic history to middle and high school homeschooling students. She enjoys connecting her background in computer science with her interest in studying historical and social topics. In her free time, she’s happiest with a good history book in hand.
